FAQ
Questions, answered straight
Restoration is unfamiliar territory for most homeowners. Here's what people ask us most often. If you have a question that isn't here, call us.
Insurance & Claims
Will my insurance cover contents restoration?+
Almost always, yes. Contents coverage is standard in homeowner and renter policies. We work directly with your adjuster, provide Xactimate-compatible documentation, and handle the paperwork.
Do I need to choose CRDN, or does my insurance pick?+
You choose. Insurance carriers may suggest a restoration company, but the choice is yours under Colorado law. Many adjusters route directly to us because of our documentation and outcomes.
How does payment work?+
We typically bill your insurance carrier directly. You're responsible for the deductible. If a non-covered item is restored at your request, we'll quote that separately.
Do you provide Xactimate estimates?+
Yes. All our estimates and documentation are formatted for direct integration with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and ContentsTrack.
Process & Timing
How fast can you respond?+
We commit to first contact within 1 hour of claim assignment. On-site assessment within 24 hours for non-emergency, same-day for emergency. Emergency clothing back to you within 24 hours of pack-out.
How long does restoration take?+
Most jobs are completed in 2-6 weeks depending on scope and contamination level. We give you a realistic timeline at the on-site assessment, not a guess.
Can I visit your facility while my items are being restored?+
Yes. We encourage it. Tours by appointment at 5005 Peoria St, Denver. Most homeowners feel much better about the process after seeing the operation.
What's the pack-out process?+
Our crew arrives with cataloging supplies, packs each item with chain-of-custody tracking, photographs throughout, and transports to our facility. Nothing leaves your home without being logged.
What We Restore
Can damaged electronics really be restored?+
Yes — most of the time, if we get to them quickly. Our electronics testing identifies actual functionality (every input, every output) before and after restoration. This is our biggest differentiator.
Can you save my wedding dress / heirlooms / sentimental items?+
Often yes. Our textile and specialty restoration teams handle irreplaceable items every day. Tell us what matters most and we'll prioritize.
What if an item can't be restored?+
We document it photographically and itemize it for your insurance claim. You won't be charged for restoration attempts on items we determine are non-salvageable upfront.
Do you handle artwork and antiques?+
Yes. Our art restoration uses conservator-approved methods. For very high-value or museum-quality pieces, we coordinate with specialty conservators.
Service Area & Logistics
What areas do you serve?+
Denver Metro, Northern Colorado, and the Foothills. See our full service area list for the 20+ communities we work in regularly.
Do you subcontract any of your work?+
No. 100% of restoration happens in-house at our Denver facility, by our team, with our equipment. This is the single biggest difference between us and most regional competitors.
What about Spanish-speaking customers?+
Roughly a third of our team is Brazilian and bilingual. We can serve you in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
Are you available 24/7?+
Yes. Our emergency line is staffed around the clock, every day of the year.
